Payments and Refunds Policy
This policy covers platform services sold by LingoPair. Mandatory consumer rights where the customer lives take priority.
1. Seven-day Student Pass
- The price is $3.00, charged once in USD, with no automatic renewal.
- The first consecutive 24-hour service day starts when payment is confirmed and access is activated.
- Each started service day is treated as provided; remaining access is suspended immediately when a refund request is submitted.
2. Pass refund calculation
Before activation, an eligible cancellation receives a full refund. After activation, the refund is the amount paid multiplied by unstarted service days and divided by seven, rounded down to the smallest currency unit. The confirmation screen shows started days, retained service value and the refund before submission.
3. Trial arrangement fee
No fee is charged before the tutor accepts and proposes a time; payment confirms that schedule. The arrangement fee is fully refunded if the tutor cancels or does not attend, the platform cancels or fails, or LingoPair does not supply the arrangement service and the trial cannot proceed. If the student cancels or does not attend after the schedule is confirmed, the fee is generally non-refundable. Mandatory consumer rights still take priority.
4. Full-refund exceptions
Duplicate charges, failure to activate after payment, inability by LingoPair to provide the promised service, and confirmed unauthorized payments are not counted as a service day.
5. Refund method and disputes
Refunds return to the original payment method. LingoPair does not add a PayPal refund-processing fee. Related Pass access, trial requests and credits may be suspended during a refund or payment dispute; confirmed trial refunds reverse related tutor credits.
